Here is Monday's Morning Message for October 5, 2026,

Good morning, Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Happy Monday to you.
This week I want to encourage you to give up the desire of an easy life.
You've heard it from teachers, coaches, parents and grandparents:
"hard work pays off." Following Jesus is hard work, and everything He
teaches goes against "human nature." If you aren't experiencing any
spiritual attacks, you aren't working hard enough. The easy life looks
great: do what you want when you want. Those that choose a life apart
from Jesus don't make decisions based on morals. They live in sin and
appear to get everything they want without a consequence. That's
because Satan knows those people aren't a threat. He's already got
them locked into hell. He doesn't need to get you to put your faith in
him, he simply needs you to believe that you don't need Jesus. "Enter
through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road
that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the
gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it"
(St. Matthew 7.13-14). Jesus compares an easy sinful life to a wide
road more popularly taken. One of ease and pleasure entrapping
those who step on it. The narrow road is steep and hard to travel but
that is the path to eternity with Jesus. You'll experience hardship and
setbacks, heartbreak and sorrow, but nothing worth living for is easily
obtained. A life of eternity with Jesus takes hard work, so follow the
narrow path taken by few. Give up that desire of an easy life and your
hard work will indeed pay off!
