MMM

Here is Monday's Morning Message for February 2, 2026,
from Brother Sam Scheib:

Good morning, Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Happy Monday to you.

This week I want to encourage you to live a quiet life. In St. Paul's first
letter to the Thessalonians he writes, "Make it your goal to live a quiet life,
minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we
instructed you before. Then people who are not believers will respect
the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others"
(1 Thess 4.11-12).
Not all of us are called to be pulpit preachers; if we are, the LORD will
call upon us for that in His own way. We are called to live quiet, peaceful,
non-disruptive lives to lead by example to nonbelievers. We've all heard
the phrase "actions speak louder than words," though this is not always
true. In this case, it is. Mind your own business and do not meddle in
others' business. We're to focus on our own responsibilities. "Work with
your hands." Active labor is encouraged, promoting self-responsibility
and self-sufficiency. I'm sure you've heard the phrase, "idol hands are
the devil's playthings." Keep yours busy doing your work. "Do not depend
on others." Gain respect from those outside the faith and avoid being a
financial burden to others. Let your life be your testimony to your
community and nonbelievers will see you and the ways the LORD has
blessed you and soon they too may come to believe.
Aspire to a quiet life for the LORD and in doing so, further His kingdom!

Have a blessed, faith-filled week!
Soli Deo Gloria!
