Here is Monday's Morning Message for June 1, 2026,
from Brother Sam Scheib:
Good morning, Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Happy Monday to you.
This week, I want to encourage you to live fearless. Fear comes from the devil
and it robs us of peace, mercy, and confidence. Worst of all it robs us of our
faith. Living fearless means to take risks to do God's work. It also means if the
very worst were to happen to us we know exactly where we are going, which is
what true faith is. Living in fear means we aren't accepting God's full love. "Such
love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for
fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect
love" (1 John 4. 18). Fear can keep us from experiencing all of God's blessings and
from being who He created you to be. Fear paralyzes us but we do not have to
allow it. God has given us tools to combat it: "For the Spirit God has given us does
not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline" (2 Timothy 1.7).
God has given us power, and not just any power, but His power! We're told this in
St. Luke 10.19: I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and
to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you." That's a lot of
power, so why not use it and live fearless? Give the stranger along the road a ride,
quit your job to pursue what God has in store for you. Have that tough conversation
with the loved one you've been avoiding. Break free from the prison of fear and be
who God created you to be and live fearless!
More verses on fear:
Deuteronomy 31.8, Isaiah 41.10, Matthew 6.25, Matthew 10.30-31, and John 14.27.
Have a blessed week!
Soli Deo Gloria!
He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
