Here is Monday's Morning Message for December 15, 2025

Good morning, Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Happy Monday!
This week I want to encourage you to NOT follow your heart! Media and
Hollywood are so good at convincing us otherwise. There are so many
movies and television shows telling us we should follow our hearts and
that will lead us to happiness. Jeremiah the prophet tells us "The human
heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked" (Jer 17.9).
Our hearts are made of flesh and desire things of this world. The evil one uses
this to trap us in sin. St. Matthew also warns us about trusting our hearts in
chapter 15 of his gospel: (Jesus speaking), "For out of the heart come evil
thoughts--murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and
slander" (St. Matthew 15.19). So, I encourage you to trust in the LORD to
guide your life, not your heart. True fulfillment comes from the LORD and
not our fleshly hearts.
