Here is Monday's Morning Message for May 11, 2026,
from Brother Sam Scheib:
Good morning, Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Happy Monday to you.
This week, I want to encourage you to to focus on the path ahead.
The evil one loves to distract us: shiny new things, politics, movies
and games, and even our past. With today's technology, distraction is
everywhere and it's hard to escape. In Proverbs 4.25, King Solomon tells us
this: "Look straight ahead and fix your eyes on what lies before you." This
verse advises we maintain absolute focus on godly wisdom and righteous
goals, and that we are to ignore distractions, temptation, and past failures.
It implies purposeful living where one avoids detours into darkness by
keeping their "gaze" fixed solely on the path ahead. Looking back on our
past failures pulls us backwards, filling our minds with doubt and
unworthiness. "Jesus replied," 'No one who puts a hand to the plow and
looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God'" (St. Luke 9.62)."
Let the past be the past and do not turn back. Cut distractions from your
life and focus on the path ahead of you!
Have a blessed week!
Soli Deo Gloria!
He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
