Here is Monday's Morning Message for April 6, 2026,
from Brother Sam Scheib:
Good morning, Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Happy Monday to you.
This week, I want to encourage you to rest. Our world is a fast, nonstop
place or productivity. The LORD encourages work, works for Him and
His kingdom. "Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were
working for the LORD rather than for people" (Colossians 3.23). But He
also wants us to rest. When the LORD created the world, He also created
a productive cycle for humanity: 6 days of work and 1 day of rest. The
LORD has many reasons for designing life this way, no doubt for both
our physical and emotional health. When we truly know the LORD,
resting in Him is no obstacle. Rest is an act of obedience and dependence.
It declares that the LORD is in control and we are not. "So, let us do our
best to enter that rest. But if we disobey the LORD, as the people of Israel
did, we will fall" (Hebrews 4.11). We are commanded to rest and take refuge
in Him. Rest is a requirement. "Then Jesus said to them, 'The Sabbath was
made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements
of the Sabbath'" (St. Mark 2.27). Establish your day of rest, know the LORD
and trust Him so that you may rest fully and prepare your body and mind
for your weekly productivity.
Have a blessed week!
Soli Deo Gloria!
He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
